Walton-on-Thames

Visiting us:

  • Where: The Repair Cafe meets at Walton Centre for the Community, Manor Road, KT12 2PB. There is a car park at the side of the building. The disabled spaces are at the front of the building.

  • When: We meet on the second Saturday of the month, see below for details

  • What: Household items including textiles (e.g. clothing, rucksacks, soft toys, camping equipment), electricals (e.g. lamps, kettles, toasters, vacuum cleaners), mechanical (e.g. clocks, bicycles, garden umbrellas) and some electronic devices (e.g. printers).

There are some items which are unsuitable for our cafe, these include petrol driven equipment, valuable antiques, microwaves and patio heaters - however, we may still be able to give advice on other repair routes, so it is still worth gettiing in touch.

  • How: You bring along a broken household item and an experienced repairer will work alongside you to repair it.

  • Refreshments: There is a selection of homemade treats and hot drinks available at each cafe.

  • Craft corner: We have an active group of crafters and knitters who bring along their own projects during the Cafe - please come along to seek help/advice on your project or to join them.

Electrical items are safety tested on the way into the Cafe and again before they leave - this ensures items are safe to work on and then safe to use at home.

On arrival for a repair you will be asked to read and agree to our house rules.
